The Seimas on Monday voted to impeach MP Petras Gražulis after the Constitutional Court ruled he violated the Constitution and breached his oath. This means Gražulis has been banned from running for an MP for ten years.

The Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP) would secure the most votes in parliamentary elections, a poll published by the daily Lietuvos rytas indicates. The Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrat party (TS-LKD) meanwhile dropped from the second to fourth spot in one month.

The opposition conservative Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats have won the parliament election in Lithuania and can form a ruling coalition with two liberal parties, according to the preliminary runoff results published on Sunday night.
