Electoral commission: multiple citizenship needs over 1.1mn votes in support

Over 1.1 million votes in favour of a constitutional amendment would be needed to legalise multiple citizenship, MP Dalia Asanavičiūtė says, referring to the election watchdog's estimate.

“The Central Electoral Commission (VRK) has estimated that it would take over 1.1 million votes “yes” for us to be able to amend Article 12 of the Constitution. It is a really big number,” the Conservative MP told a press conference at the Seimas on Friday.
