EU commissioner: Lithuania is the first country at risk of losing part of RRF funds

European Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius says that Lithuania is the first country that may lose part of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) funds.

It was also the first member state to prompt the European Commission (EC) to find an indexation mechanism for reforms, he noted.
“The reason for this is that Lithuania has not presented its tax reform yet, it is still pending, only being discussed in public, and interestingly enough, another ministry has also presented its own vision for the tax reform, which is unexpected. In this case, Lithuania is the first country that may lose part of its RRF funds,” Sinkevičius, EU Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, told ELTA in an interview.
