Electricity price up by 55% last week

Last week, on 17-23 April, compared with the previous week, wholesale electricity price in Lithuania increased by 55% to 66.09 EUR/MWh. In Latvia and Estonia, electricity prices increased by 61% to 64.55 EUR/MWh.

According to independent electricity supplier Elektrum Lietuva, wholesale electricity price in the Nord Pool power market region on average rose by 22% to 75.14 EUR/MWh. Electricity consumption in the Nord Pool region stood at 7,100 GWh, while electricity generation was 7,713 GWh.
