Seimas passes resolution on NATO Vilnius summit

The Seimas Thursday unanimously passed a resolution on Lithuania’s position for the upcoming NATO Vilnius summit, urging the Alliance to officially invite Kyiv to join the bloc.

The resolution stipulates that Vilnius will seek to significantly reinforce the forward defence and deterrence of the Baltic region and the entire eastern flank of NATO as it was pledged in Madrid to set up brigade-sized units in the region.
