Foreign minister meets with EU border agency chief

On Monday, Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis met Hans Leijtens, the new executive director of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex), the Foreign Ministry announces.

The minister and the executive director discussed the possible involvement of Frontex in the management of irregular migration flows at the EU-Belarus border, the agency’s role in ensuring the proper implementation of the sanctions against Russia, and assistance to Ukraine and its neighbouring countries.
