EU foreign and defence ministers agree to urgently supply 1mn artillery shells to Ukraine

On Monday, Deputy National Defence Minister Žilvinas Tomkus attended a joint meeting of EU foreign and defence ministers which agreed to aim for the transfer of 1 million rounds of artillery ammunition of different calibres to Ukraine in one year.

The European Union will provide EUR 2 billion from the European peacefacility to partially reimburse the ammunition transferred by member states, the National Defence Ministry announces.
