SocDem Duchnevič elected Vilnius district mayor

Robert Duchnevič, mayoral candidate of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP), sensationally won the elections to become Vilnius district mayor with all the votes at the Vilnius district municipality counted.

The Central Electoral Commission (VRK) said that Duchnevič garnered 50.2% of support and his opponent Waldemar Urban, of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania-Christian Families Alliance (LLRA-KŠS) secured 49.07%.
