Skvernelis worried about lack of coalitions in some municipalities

MP Saulius Skvernelis, leader of the Union of Democrats For Lithuania, says he is concerned about the lack of competition in some Lithuanian municipalities which elected their new government in the very first round of municipal elections.

The politician cast his ballot to elect a mayor in Vilnius district on Sunday.
“Competition is a very good thing. It is not normal that the majority [in the municipal council – ELTA] and the mayor are already known after the first round,” he told reporters.
