Language Inspection calls for legal amendments requiring workers in service sector to be able to speak Lithuanian

The State Language Inspection says there has been a spike in complaints about drivers providing ride hailing services unable to speak Lithuanian. It hopes the legal loophole will be closed by amending the Law on the State Language.

According to the Language Inspection, complaints about drivers unable to communicate in Lithuanian are made both on social networks and on the business directory website rekvizitai.lt.
