Italian embassy to open exhibition of historical documents in Kaunas

The Italian Embassy in Vilnius organises in Kaunas an exhibition of historical documents that show the Italian support to the independence of Lithuania since 1919.

At the Valdas Adamkus Presidential Library-Museum (S. Daukanto g. 25), in the same building that in the inter-War period was the seat of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there will be on display some of the most significant Italian historical diplomatic documents of that crucial and decisive period, following the end of World War I, in which the nascent - but still unrecognized - Republic of Lithuania established the first relations with Italy, the Italian Embassy said in a press release.
