MP proposes to remove civil union bill from agenda of spring session

Non-attached MP Agnė Širinskienė, who was elected to parliament with the Farmers and Greens Union (LVŽS), proposes to remove the draft law on civil union and accompanying legislation from the agenda of the spring session of the Seimas due to geopolitical tensions, complex economic situation and energy crisis.

According to the MP, public opinion polls suggest that intentions to regulate the legal aspects of partnership between couples polarise the society.
