Belarusian intelligence step up checks on Lithuanians

The State Security Department (VSD) says that after the last weekend, Belarusian intelligence and security services have stepped up their checks on Lithuanian nationals visiting Belarus.

While at checkpoints and other Belarusian areas, Lithuanian nationals are questioned about the purpose of their travel and personal details. Belarusian officers also ask them about their political views and what they think of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
