Nausėda determined to see Rosatom in further EU sanctions package

President Gitanas Nausėda says he is not very happy about the European Union’s (EU) 10th package of sanctions against Russia. The aggressor country poses a very specific threat to Ukraine’s nuclear facilities and Rosatom must be added to the list of sanctioned companies, he stated.

“It is good that it [the package of sanctions] was born practically on the anniversary of the war, but we have always stressed that what Russia is doing in the field of nuclear energy, by destabilising and endangering nuclear facilities in Ukraine in a very specific way, cannot go without consequences,” the president told reporters in Palanga on Tuesday.
