Customs Department admits that sanctions are violated in isolated cases

Head of the Customs Department Darius Žvironas admits that it is impossible to prevent all attempts of circumvention of the European Union’s sanctions on Russia and Belarus.

“This is a constant process. We cannot promise that we will immediately prevent all possible attempts as new schemes emerge constantly, new ways to try to evade sanctions,” said Žvironas.
