Presidential adviser: Wagner-type Russian group invading Baltics a possible scenario

The chief presidential adviser on national security says that the aggression in the Baltic States from Russian groups of mercenaries like Wagner is a realistic scenario.

“Such a scenario would comply with the said criteria. The independent policy and crimes that Wagner is carrying out in Africa or Syria with the approval of Russia’s political powers allows for considering the scenario you have mentioned,” Kęstutis Budrys said in an interview with the Delfi news portal.
