Šimonytė: solidarity and trust are the strength of Euro-Atlantic family

NATO remains the most important guarantor of Europe’s security, and Euro-Atlantic synergy is the most important element of the continent’s security, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė pointed out at a panel discussion A Dream Come Due: Towards European Strategic Sovereignty on Europe’s strategic sovereignty at the Munich Security Conference on Sunday, the Government said in a press release.

“Solidarity and mutual trust between democracies is our strength as members of the Euro-Atlantic family,” Prime Minister Šimonytė said at the session, which was also attended by Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, French Member of the National Assembly, Benjamin Haddad, and Co-Chair of the German Social Democratic Party, Lars Klingbeil.
