Seimas board addressed over auto-deleting messaging app used by MPs

MP Linas Jonauskas has appealed to the Board of the Seimas asking to regulate the use of mobile applications in smart devices issued for members of parliament after his fellow MP revealed that she had used the Signal encrypted messaging app to communicate with an ex-MP, suspect in sexual child abuse of minors.

According to the Social Democrat MP, members of the Seimas should only install mobile apps approved by the State Security Department (VSD) on their official phones.
