Lithuania to send more than 30 rescuers to Türkiye

Lithuania will contribute to aid to earthquake-struck Türkiye. Minister of the Interior Agnė Bilotaitė announced that Lithuania would send rescuers as well as provide material and financial support.

The minister said Wednesday that a group of at least 30 officers from the Fire and Rescue Department (PAGD) would be sent for search and rescue, as well as 3 dog handlers with dogs from the State Border Guard Service (VSAT) and at least 5 employees of Kaunas City Emergency Medical Aid Station.
