Education Minister: we are working with Poland on offering Polish as a second foreign language

Minister of Education, Science and Sport Jurgita Šiugždinienė says the ministry is talking to relevant institutions on having the Polish language in place next to German and French among second foreign languages taught at schools in Lithuania.

Polish, one of the languages of the European Union, can already be taught as a second foreign language, the minister noted.
According to Šiugždinienė, there are enough Polish teachers in Lithuania. The ministry is currently cooperating with the Embassy of Poland and the Polish Cultural Institute on the matter.
