NATO secretary general: new defence spending target may be set in Vilnius

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg hopes that the NATO summit in Vilnius will be the one where the alliance’s member states agree to raise their current spending target on defence above 2%, dpa reports.

“I believe that a new defence spending target will be set at the NATO summit in Vilnius in July this year,” he told Die Welt, the German daily newspaper.
