Vasiliauskas joins IMF executive board

Vitas Vasiliauskas, a former adviser to the prime minister and chairman of the board of the Bank of Lithuania, has joined the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the central bank said.

Vasiliauskas will be working with the IMF for three and a half years as the executive director of the Nordic-Baltic Constituency. In the position, he replaced Mika Pösö from Finland whose term of office ended.
