Litgrid donates to Ukraine autotransformer valued at EUR 2mn

Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator Litgrid is sending to Ukraine a 330/110/10 kV autotransformer that will help the country guarantee electricity supply as Russia is deliberately destroying Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

On Thursday, the autotransformer weighing nearly 200 tonnes was loaded on a platform semi-trailer at a transformer station in Šiauliai and prepared to be sent to Ukraine. It will be transported from Šiauliai to Klaipėda and then shipped by sea via Romania to Ukraine.
