Electricity price up by 64% in first week of January

On 2-8 January 2023, compared with 26 December 2022-1 January 2023, the average electricity price in Lithuania increased by 64% to 106.06 EUR/MWh. Electricity prices in Latvia and Estonia rose by 62%.

According to independent electricity supplier Elektrum Lietuva, electricity prices also increased in other European countries: by 193% to 132.92 EUR/MWh in Austria, by 142% to 110.03 EUR/MWh in France and by 223% to 101.63 EUR/MWh in Germany.
