Four MPs call for re-vote on cannabis decriminalisation

Four opposition MPs have appealed to the Seimas Commission for Ethics and Procedures demanding for a re-vote on the decriminalisation of cannabis due to alleged violations of the procedure.

On 15 December, in the consideration stage, the Seimas approved amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences that would decriminalise possession of small quantities of cannabis. The final vote will take place later during the adoption stage.
