NATO aircraft scrambled five times last week

On December 19–25, fighter aircraft conducting the NATO Air Policing Mission in the Baltic States were scrambled once to patrol the Baltic airspace border with Russia and Belarus and four times to intercept military aircraft of the Russian Federation in the international airspace over the Baltic Sea flying in violation of international aviation flight rules, the National Defence Ministry said.

On December 19, NATO fighter aircraft conducting the NATO Air Policing Mission in the Baltic States were scrambled three times.
