Anušauskas: we are much safer now than we were at start of the year

National Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas says Lithuania is safer now than it was at the beginning of this year.

This is due to a significant increase in the country’s defence spending as a result of Russia’s aggression in Ukraine that started in February, as well as geopolitical changes in the region, according to the minister.
