Lithuania prohibits Russian and Belarusian citizens to own firearms

The Lithuanian Parliament has adopted legislative amendments prohibiting Russian and Belarusian citizens residing in Lithuania from owning firearms, their parts or ammunition. The bill was tabled due to national security concerns after Russia invaded Ukraine.

Amendments to the Law on Control of Weapons and Ammunition were adopted by 112 votes in favour, one vote against and 13 abstentions.
