Vilnius mayor: involvement of politicians in public transport drivers’ strike would be detrimental

Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius rejects criticism for not getting involved soon enough in talks between Vilnius public transport company Vilniaus viešasis transportas (VVT) and its drivers who are on strike demanding higher salaries and better working conditions.

The mayor said in an interview with the public radio LRT on Thursday that the involvement of politicians in the strike would be detrimental.
