Foreign Minister: Lithuania will not apply exemptions on Russia that were created in latest package of sanctions

The European Union has approved the ninth package of sanctions on Russia amid the continuing invasion of Ukraine, but Lithuania will not apply exemptions that have been created for oligarchs, says Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis.

“Lithuania will use the opportunity proposed by the European Commission and will not create exemptions for hundreds of oligarchs or at least those in Lithuania, who have money or companies here,” Landsbergis told members of the Conservative party (TS-LKD) on Saturday.
