Achema will suspend ammonia production due to high gas prices

Jonava-based nitrogen fertiliser manufacturer Achema will suspend ammonia production on Monday, the news agency ELTA has learned from Jolita Macelytė, head of communications at Achema.

“As gas prices are again rising to the heights observed this autumn, we are forced to temporarily stop ammonia production starting 19 December, continuing only production of ammonium nitrate and resin, as well as units serving them,” she said.
