Lithuania joins formal disapproval of Macron’s Russia comments

Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis says that Lithuania has contributed to a démarche, formal diplomatic statement, submitted to France in protest following the French president’s comments on security guarantees for Russia.

“To my knowledge, Lithuania has contributed to it. I have seen texts that have been coordinated. The aim was to voice concern and evaluate persistent proposals to negotiate with Moscow or even provide [to Russia – ELTA] some security guarantees,” Landsbergis told reporters at the Seimas.
