Bribery allegations made against director of Administration of Šilutrė District Municipality

Officers from Klaipėda Board of the Special Investigation Service (STT) are carrying out a pre-trial investigation into suspected systemic corruption at Šilutė District Municipality.

On 6 December, law enforcement detained Virgilijus Pozingis, director of the Administration of Šilutė District Municipality, on suspicion of bribery. Heads of two private companies were also detained, one is suspected of graft and another on graft and document forgery.
