Authorities: tap water in Lithuania safe to drink

Travel Awaits, an online portal for travellers, has recently included Lithuania in a list of countries where it is not recommended to drink tap water. Marius Švaikauskas, head of the responsible water management association Vandens jėga, says that this information is misleading and it is safe to drink tap water in Lithuania.

On behalf of the association, he addressed Travel Awaits and US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with a request to deny the false fact.
