Kaunas Mayor Matijošaitis to seek third term

Kaunas City Mayor Visvaldas Matijošatis has announced his intention to seek a third term in the position.

“I am a man of principle. I never take things lightly, and in this case I feel a great responsibility towards at least a third of a million people. I have decided to ask my employers, the people of Kaunas, one last time, can we go on? I invite everyone to express their will in the municipal elections on 5 March,” the Kaunas city mayor is quoted as saying in a press release.
