This year, 200 new HIV cases detected in Lithuania

Marking the World AIDS Day, the National Public Health Centre (NVSC) announced that, based on preliminary data, 200 new HIV infection cases have been confirmed in Lithuania so far in 2022. 115 men and 85 women were diagnosed with HIV.

On 1 December, Thursday, the Ministry of Health organised a campaign and lit more than a hundred candles in Vilnius Town Hall Square to commemorate people who died of AIDS.
