Culture Minister: EU’s 9th sanctions package should include more Russian TV channels

Minister of Culture Simonas Kairys says expecting that the European Union’s ninth package of sanctions against Russia will include more television channels and that the EU will agree on banning European commercials on Russian TV channels.

On November 29, the EU Culture Council in Brussels discussed the tightening of sanctions on Russia following the deliberate destruction of Ukrainian monuments and museums and the massive looting of Ukrainian artworks and cultural heritage by the Russian army.
