National drama theatre sacks Koršunovas

Theatre director Oskaras Koršunovas has been dismissed as artistic director of the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre (LNDT) due to the negligent performance of direct duties and systematic absenteeism, the LNDT said in its press release on Thursday.

“We regret taking this step, but we can no longer tolerate constant breaches of our work discipline. We have been in contact with the director in the hope of a change for some time, but unfortunately, we have not received a positive result,” Head of the LNDT Martynas Budraitis is quoted as saying in the press release.
