Seimas speaker: belarusians’ fight for freedom cannot take a back seat

The Seimas speaker warns that the Kremlin’s war against Ukraine has threatened to marginalise the Belarusian struggle for freedom and democracy and it is essential to free Minsk from the authoritarian regime of Alexander Lukashenko as soon as possible.

Seimas Speaker Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen said that at a meeting with Belarusian and Lithuanian journalists which focussed on the support for the free media of Belarus, the Office of the Seimas said.
