“This is a step forward. As you are aware, Lithuania and several other countries were the first to speak about the need of a special tribunal, a special court, because we are dealing not only with war crimes but also with the crime of aggression, i.e. [Russia’s] wish to occupy another country and destroy it. This is a much wider definition than the one covered by the criminal court. I think the European Commission is reacting to the critical mass of countries that has accumulated, which have demanded for this judicial solution,” Nausėda told reporters Wednesday.
