Nausėda: Kreivys expected to bring results in talks with Sweden over excess profits

President Gitanas Nausėda says that negotiations with Sweden on the sharing of surplus revenues gained by the country’s electricity producers with Lithuania are ongoing and that he will request the energy minister to “bring certain results” from the talks.

“Negotiations on excess profits are ongoing. We will demand other things from the energy minister as well, including the negotiations in the format of the European Union. At the moment, the gas price cap is under intensive discussion and there are still some disagreements, two additional meetings of energy ministers are scheduled for December, and the European Council will meet in mid-December,” Nausėda told reporters on Wednesday.
