Northern Group ministers agreed to strengthen cooperation to ensure protection of critical infrastructure

The Northern European Defence Policy Forum (the Northern Group) in Norway’s capital Oslo have agreed to continue the steadfast cooperation on ensuring security of critical infrastructure in the Northern and the Baltic Sea regions, reports the Ministry of National Defence.

It was agreed at the meeting to continue the coordinated resistance to the aggressive and malicious Russian activity and threats it was posing, as well as the potential implications of it to European security. The participants also voiced support for Ukraine, discussed the effects of the Russian war in Ukraine and changes in the security situation. The countries accentuated strong political unity and cohesion in the face of threats to the regions.
