“I have been once on the border between Kazakhstan and China, where the traffic to Europe by rail is busiest. The paradox is that the Chinese have European-standard rails, while Lithuania still has eastern-standard rails with one very significant exception, the European rails to the Kaunas intermodal terminal, which is really the direction we are now working in, and which we need to continue and expand,” Skuodis said at the GreenTech Vilnius Forum on Thursday.
