Landsbergis: sanctions on Minsk should be considered due to continuing irregular migration from Belarus

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis does not rule out that the question of new sanctions on Minsk will be raised once again after the Ministry of the Interior expressed concern about the latest situation with irregular migration from Belarus to Lithuania as some migrants try to cross the border barefoot.

“I think we will indeed raise this issue. This is another chapter of gross human rights violations which we see happening in Belarus. We raised the issue earlier and we will not overlook this phase either,” Landsbergis told reporters Wednesday.
