Seimas accepts president’s veto on amendments to Law on Payments

President Gitanas Nausėda had vetoed amendments to the Law on Payments and returned the bill to parliament, which accepted the president’s veto on 22 November.

On Tuesday, 70 MPs voted in favour of the president’s proposal to deem the draft law not adopted, while 19 voted for repeat consideration of the bill. After the vote, it was declared that the draft law is considered not adopted.
