50–64-year-olds face worst forms of poverty

If not social benefits, the absolute poverty rate of children under 18 years old would have been 16.6 percent last year, data available to Statistics Lithuania show. In 2021, every fourth resident (24.5 percent) was at risk of poverty or faced social exclusion. The most difficult situation was for mothers or fathers raising children alone and people living alone.
