Government decides to transfer property for use of Lithuanian Jewish communities

The Government has decided to transfer the premises of the Vilna Gaon Museum of Jewish History in Vilnius, Pylimo St 4, to the ownership of the Foundation for Disposal of Good Will Compensation for the Immovable Property of Jewish Religious Communities, the press office of the Government reports.

Currently, the museum is managing the premises under the right of trust. Two more synagogue complexes in Kaunas and Panevėžys will also be transferred to the Foundation. They are currently managed by the state owned enterprise Turto bankas.
