In October, electricity price down by 47%

As natural gas storage facilities in Europe have been filled to 95% capacity, the wholesale electricity price in Lithuania decreased by 47% in October compared with September.

According to Litgrid, Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator, efforts to save energy by residents and business also contributed to lower electricity prices, as did greater electricity generation by wind farms and filling up reservoirs of hydroelectric power plants in Scandinavia.
