According to the ministry, the same procedure will also apply to Lithuanians temporarily residing in Ukraine once a bilateral agreement is signed.

"We support Ukraine and help Ukrainians who have arrived here in every way possible, so we aim to sign a new bilateral agreement as soon as possible to allow Ukrainian citizens in Lithuania to change their driver's licenses without taking exams. The same will apply to Lithuanian citizens in Ukraine," Interior Vice Minister Sigita Scajeviene was quoted as saying in the ministry's statement.

Lithuanian and Ukrainian institutions are now putting the final touches to the draft agreement, and it is expected to be signed shortly.
