Every second Lithuanian supports same-sex civil partnership

Every second Lithuanian supports the proposal to legalise same-sex civil partnership, a poll by the news website delfi.lt has revealed. Meanwhile, 70% of the respondents support a civil union between different sexes.

70.32% of the polled agree that in Lithuania men and women should have the right to not only marry but also establish civil unions, 17.83% are neither in favour nor against this, whereas 9.26% oppose civil unions between men and women, while 2.59% did not have an opinion on the matter.
